Entry 2: Mutants!

Log: Mutants have been encountered. Let all adherents of the Imperial Cult rest assured that the presence of the tainted will never be tolerated whilst I yet live. This is why I have placed a strict ban on them entering the ship. Except the three-armed jugglers who are highly entertaining. And the traders from the moon of Finzar III, who sell some very pure spook. That is seriously good shit. But apart from these understandable exceptions, which I have endorsed in my capacity as the Emperor’s sole ambassador onboard, it is a strictly zero tolerance policy. Just the other day on Finzar V a mutant traffic warden gave me a parking ticket and I refused to pay. Let the heretic tremble before the obstinacy of the faithful!

Thought for the day: To lose one´s head is unforgivable; to grow an extra head is abominable.

Level 5 Classified: Reconnaissance agents have reported that some of the multiple armed mutant cults on Finzar V are in fact genestealer cults. It is my suspicion that these aliens are behind the sinister parking ticket activities which go unchecked on the planet.

Entry 1: Some reflections upon leaving the Imperium

Log: It has been 6 months since we moved beyond the reach of the Astronomicon. We are far from the benevolent and loving ministrations of the Emperors agents, but morale remains high. So high are the spirits of the loyal crew that even when the last Adeptus Ministorum preacher was accidentally jettisoned from an airlock, they did not lose heart. This was the last in a series of airlock-related mishaps to befall these fanatically (some might say lunatic, but not I, of course) devoted servants of the Lord of Mankind.

For my part, I am unswerving in my determination to chart a course as far from the heart of the Imperium as possible, bringing the light of humanity and arbitrary rules to all who cross my path. For nothing expresses mature faith in the tenets of the Imperial Cult quite like leaving it behind as fast as possible. For just as the eagle, when grown, leaves behind the nest, so the mature servant of the God Man must leave behind the trappings and ministrations designed for children and the weak minded and venture off on an all expenses paid trip to the edge of the galaxy.

Thought for the day: Just as all our hearts are open to the discerning gaze of the Emperor, so are all our other organs opened by the torture instruments of his gentle inquisitors.
